ISPAC - a Milan, Italy based organization of the United Nations Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme - has allowed PWG to expand its presence internationally. PWG works directly with ISPAC Scientific Coordinator Gary Hill, who was appointed to develop and operate web sites for ISPAC.
The primary purpose of the main ISPAC site is to disseminate information to NGOs (Non Governmental Organizations) and governments on a variety of topics related to ISPAC's primary purpose. Working across the globe in both high tech and low tech locations presents it's own challenges. PWG set up software that will allow information that is generated and posted to a "portable" web site that can be carried on a laptop to be synchronized with the main site as resources are available to do so.
The ability to take the technology into any environment and still do productive work has been instrumental in ISPAC's ability to post reports, position papers, and other documents to their web site in a timely fashion.
