HBT is a unique company that works on large scale underground pipe and conduit projects. They have work crews all over the country and process many bids every day.
The Challenge: HBT needed to be able to manage their bids all the way from the initial bid, to close and conversion to a Job. Because of the complexities involved, along with multiple employees needing to access and modify the information, the internal process was very labor intensive.
The Solution: PWG devised a web based system that would deliver and keep track of all active bids with all the follow ups, addenda, notes, faxes, and change orders that accompany the process.
Market1 procures grain/DDGs for several feed mills in Iowa.
The Challenge: Because no two DDG batches are the same, Market1 analyzes the constituents of the incoming loads to measure against contracted values. Because of the Just In Time nature of the production of feed, time is of the essence.
The Solution: DataMaster takes an import from a NIR (Near Infrared) analytics machine, and compares the imported values for multiple constituents to the expected norm. If there is a deviation of more than a pre-defined percentage, DataMaster notifies the user. It also compares between multiple DDG vendors, and produces history reports and graphs.
ARC provides a service that enables their customers to maximize the profit from their crops by using CBOT instruments.
The Challenge: ARC needed to automatically track trades, roll up risk, and reconcile with market data. Additionally they needed to generate confirmations so their customers could approve the trades that ARC made on their behalf.
The Solution: PWG delivered a cross-platform, web-based application that integrates with the Chicago Board of Trade for market data and uses Quantitative Financial algorithms to determine real-time market values of trades. The solution also gave them the ability to automatically generate and send PDFs of documents to their customers (1099 tax forms, confirmation letters, etc.)
